The travel expenses for the delegate to attend the conference are part of the Intergroup budget. See the Travel Policies for more information.
This position has the following resources
Ensure you are registered as a delegate by the chair of Intergroup immediately after the December Intergroup meeting, be sure to provide an email address to receive important information about the conference from World Service. Read the policy on travel for helpful tips. Review the OA website for information about the business conference. The agenda items for vote are sent by email to registered delegates. The delegate share information from WSO with the Intergroup. As soon as possible after receiving the conference agenda items, the WSO delegate facilitates the distribution of questionnaire of matters to be considered at WSBC. The delegate can send an email to the Intergroup mailing list at intergroup@triangleoa.org and determine the Intergroup meeting the group votes will be recorded. The responses from the groups must be sent to the World Service conference by the announced deadline. Plan to attend WSBC. It is an excellent service and recovery opportunity. A blessing not to be missed. Ask for a mentor and possibly a temporary sponsor. Expect to feel overwhelmed the first time. There is a banquet on Saturday - most people dress up.
Participate on a committee at WSBC - a good way to meet people and to serve.
